Join us for the 2nd Annual Winterfest 1 Mile Fun Run and 5k presented by Back on Track.  

This fun run/walk on Black Friday is hosted at the Tryon International for all ages and abilities. This is a family-friendly event. 

Register by November 21st to guarantee your race day t-shirt! Sign ups after November 21st do not guarantee a shirt. Registration for the race also includes one (1) free entry into Tryon's Winterfest Holiday Village, presented by Coca-Cola®.

Experience this kickoff to the season as you take a run through THIS YEAR'S ALL NEW Holiday Village Walk (Run) Through Light Spectacular. 

Coca-Cola® presents Winterfest at Tryon International November 29-December 31. Winterfest features a dazzling drive-through light show, walk through light show, ice skating, shopping, and a Holiday Village hosted weekends in December with character meet and greets, holiday attractions, kids activities, live music and performances, and so much more. On-site lodging is available.  Note: Additional Holiday Village admission and Drive-through light show must be purchased separately.

• Tryon International is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Mill Spring, NC) — which gives you a pretty backdrop for the run. 
• The venue is more than just a race course: it offers lodging, dining, shopping, and the holiday “Winterfest Village”.
  That means you could turn the run into a mini-getaway: participate in the 5K and then enjoy the holiday village, light show, perhaps stay overnight.
   

• Held on Black Friday evening, so it taps into the holiday spirit right after Thanksgiving. 
• Since it welcomes “all ages and abilities,” it’s great for families, groups of friends, or even someone new to 5Ks who wants a low-pressure event.
• The event timing allows for an evening outing, which can be fun for couples/families wanting a festive evening rather than early morning sweat session.
   

• Because it is part of a broader Winterfest holiday event, after the race you can stay and enjoy lights, ice-skating, carriage rides, holiday shopping and more.
• Transforming a 5K into an experience: run or walk, then reward yourself with food, lights, and festive activities.

• The course loops through Tryon’s pristine equestrian grounds—well‑landscaped, shady, and impeccably maintained—perfect for a comfortable run or a brisk pace.
• With a mix of manicured paths, equine gardens, and light rolling terrain, the route blends gentle challenge and visual delight—not too hilly, ideal for runners of every ambition.
